We went to a wedding a few weeks ago. The bride is Bethlehem's (who watched our girls during language school) sister. It was a beautiful wedding. She has a wonderful family. They lost their mom and dad when they were little. She's one of 7 girls and 1 guy. Her older sisters have raised her. They're pretty special people. And as you can see good looking... Bethlehem is on the far left. Her brother is next to her and the groom is the other guy. I'm not sure who the young woman in brown is, but the others are her sisters.

We also had a Bingham Academy field day, during which the whole student body participates in sports. I don't have a pic of the action unfortunately but here's a photo of Erin hanging out with her brother and his friends. (yes, I do know that she will want to do this in 10 years :))

Kate is officially 5!!! (February 12) We had a lot of fun celebrating this special little girl. The first photo is our family tradition of putting a candle in the birthday person's pancake. The rest are from her birthday party. It's been a long year for her, a hard year. She's noticed everything that's happened this year and it's been hard as everyone else has gone off to school/business... but we're in a new place now. My relationship in particular has grown very sweet with her. Kate is more Kate than we've seen in a long time and we're so, so grateful.

These little girls are from all over the globe, thought you might wonder. From left to right, their countries are Holland, Holland, Ethiopia/Britain, Korea, US, US, US, US, Ethiopia.

If one lives behind a 10 foot wall, it's difficult to quickly get to know one's neighbors. But gradually that has begun to happen. This little one here is the niece of one of our neighbors. We were invited to her and her sister's birthday party. You can see that Sam had a good time. Their whole family is M and it has been a great getting to know them. We've really enjoyed them but also the chance it is to build relationship with a family of this faith.

Lovebirds have been hanging out in our backyard.

The newsy stuff is that our water has consistently been coming for the past 3 1/2 weeks. It has been FABULOUS. We regularly (not for long periods of time) go without power or phone, but the water is, I've decided, the one I'd least like to do without. So, if you prayed that it would come back, a BIG thank you. We're so glad.

Also, Hobtomwa, who works here in our house has this past week had Typhis for the 3rd time. It's not a contagious thing, it's treat-able and we're pretty sure she's contracted it through fleas. Our dog has had them but there are also dogs around her house too (not IN either of the houses)... anyway, we are hoping that it will not recur. It appears she's really on the mend.

Much love to you.
